vacuum lines

Hey, just joined. I bought a 79 h/o recently &was wondering if anyone knows where to find the vaccuum hoses that deteriorate under hood that run ur a/c doors? (Plastic lines) any help?

Those hard plastic ones? I suspect your only bet is the junkyard.

I'd replace 'em with rubber hoses if they're cracked.

I've never seen those types of lines locally.

I've always been lucky in any cases where they broke .....

I was able to patch/splice them back together using locally/readily available fittings & rubber line.

If they are that bad trying to splice them back together will probably just break them again.

At that point, it's best to replace them in their entirety with rubber.

Thx. Thats what i"ll do. I was just wanting to keep original, wondering if someone made aftermarket. Appreciate it.

I've seen those plastic vacuum hoses in Advance and AutoZone but only in short lengths and only in black. I've used it successfully on my Custom Cruiser and Ford pickup.
