1st let me introduce myself. My name is Randy Vanness from Kewaunee, WI. I have my son's 87 442 with a built 72 olds 350. After he built the new motor and put about 500 miles on it 2nd gear was gone. I can drive it, but you need to get it up to about 35mph and let up on it and it will shift to drive, no second. Major rebuild time or a simple solution. I don't have any idea what Brad has in the motor as far as horsepower, but it is very quick. It has an Edlebrock Manifold, Holley Carb, Headers and true dual exhaust (FlowMaster), G-force cross member for the exhaust, mild cam, new pistons, rods, etc., heads have been cleaned and exhaust ports cleaned up for better flow. Any ideas about the tranny or what the horsepower may be close to. It is very quick...bottom end isn't real strong ( it'll turn the tires without a problem) and after 60 or 70mph it takes off like a jet. Brad and one of his freinds did all the work. thanks for any ideas.
