1966 Starfire
Hi all, this is my first post here and hopefully I can get some help. I am looking for a 1966 Starfire for sale, open to listening to what you all have. It can be a project but not one that needs a total restoration, a good runner that needs tlc, an original or a restored auto. I hope to hear from the Starfire fans and owners out there, it's been hard to find. Thanks!

Do a craigslist mash search and some will come up. It is better to get one with good potmetal trim and rear panel and tailights. If these parts are pitted it will cost a fortune to redo or replace. Trim parts are very hard to find!!

You didn't indicate in your post where you live, that will probably determine how successful you are in finding the right car, reasonable one on e bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1966-...item3f05e8f5fd

My advice on any Starfire is get the best and most unmolested car you can to begin with. There is little to no reproduction stuff for them and even supposedly hard-core Olds guys don't respect them as they should- most see them only as a source for a hot 394 or 425.
With exception of the Starfire engine they are the same mechanically as an 88. The specific exterior and interior trim is where things get difficult.
