New Member intro

Hello, I'm a new member from Austin Texas. I own a 71 Cutlass Supreme Convertible that was given to me on my 16th birthday. It was my father's before it was mine and he was the second owner.

It's a bit unusual as it has bucket seats in the front, but no center console. The original owner who ordered it was a paraplegic and she needed the room between the front seats for her equipment so she could drive the car. It was ordered in blue, but when it arrived, she hated the blue and had them paint it white before she would take delivery. It was white until Dad gave it to me. He painted it yellow for me.

I still own her, she's still yellow. Did a mechanical restoration on her five years ago. Saving my pennies to do the body restore next.

Anyway.. I'm happy to have found ya'll!

it was Nordic Blue. Frankly it think it's a pretty color and am wavering between going back to the original blue or keeping it yellow.....

Welcome! I'm not from Texas, like many folks here apparently, but I have a cousin in Austin and another cousin in San Antonio, so I've driven down and spent some time there. I-35 all the way down.

I had to look up what Nordic Blue looks like. Not bad at all, but I think the yellow you have looks great to me!

Nordic Blue nice color and almost looks like 66 Lucerne Mist. Good luck with your car. Looks nice.

That is a beautiful color. Good luck with your '71 and enjoy your driving. Hope it serves you well for many years to come.
