kinda new
Joined the day after I bought my 65 Starfire in January.
It has 124k miles and seems to be about 99% original. has the cardboard in the trunk and original carpet with molded in mats. I had the fuel tank down and it is original - says US Steel on it. It had been 'restored' to some degree a couple of owners ago. it has clear coat on the pain that went bad after years sitting outside. the trunk seal leaked and not has a soft spot in the floor. Other than that the sheet metal is all good (ok the battery tray is shot too). All the chrome is there, though pitted.
It's going to be a driver. I replaced the carb (kept the 4gc for future fun) with a Quick Fuel 600, and put solid state points in it. Next up is suspension, then A/C. Probably a new trunk seal, headliner, and front seat upholstery before long as well.

Very cool and unique car. I'm new here also. Joined because I bought a 64 Starfire, and after reading all the Starfire posts I could find, now I want a 65 too!
Badly.
It's an enjoyable sickness.
