New 442 owner

Hey folks, I am not really an Olds newbie - had an 88 in the family since 1970. But I just joined the ranks of owning a 442 - finally!

I am so excited! I now can cruise and burn it!

Thank you so much for everyone on this board. Y'll have helped me in so many ways.

Is it me or did Olds really get it right with this one?

Have a lot to learn about this machine. So different than the 88 as far as handling.

Nice. I thought Olds got it right the year before though.

Thanks Eric- your 67 looks like it goes 60 in first gear!

And true-blue, like the chrome and the rear of the 66! (the rear is not shown, but I know what it looks like)

I know I am getting ahead of myself here, but what is the standard quarter mile time of a 442 on the track? I heard anywhere from 12-14 seconds....

They are both sexy year models I must admit.

Post some pics of the interior and under hood. Quarter mile times were around 14 in stock trim.

Nice looking 67 convertible... I wasn't sure when Olds really got it right with the slight body trim differences, soooo I now have both a 66-442 and a 67-442W30...

In factory trim and equipped with THM 400, low 15's, maybe high 14's in the hands of somebody who knows what they're doing. Trap speeds would be about 92-5 mph.

That's a very nice car. I'd love to see some more pictures. '67s are among my favorites.
