Welcome aboard

Nice choice to consider a 445. You'll need a 400 transmission or 4 speed. You came to the right place for info, parts, advise. Please post pictures. We love pictures, you will too.

Thanks for the welcome, The block is already at machine shop. The block was already .030 over but number 6 piston and wall looked pretty bad, as in rust. The G heads are also at shop getting bigger valves. I'm thinking the block is going to have to go .060, just waiting for the call to see what I need. I have read a lot on the big block section and it seems Icons are the way to go. Buy the time I pay to have rods reworked , I think I'm just going to get after market. I have a Edelbrock 2151 and a 750 slayer. The rear end is a 342 posi 12 bolt out of a 69 Chevelle. I'm in need of cam advise please.

Sorry about rambling on in the last post, just nervous about getting this first build right the first time. I'm just looking for a strong street cruiser with a lot of torque. Thanks guys.
