84 delta rear end swap

Hello everyone, I'm new to the site here and just want to know what peoples thoughts are about putting a 94 Buick road master sedan rear end in my 84 delta 88. Looking at one for sale and the guy says it's a posi with 3.42's in it "car has tow package " As far as I can tell from looking around it should bolt in. B body to B body. Thanks

The B-body chassis and suspension is essentially the same from 1977-1996. The biggest issue you will have is that unless you have the HD brakes, your 84 has the 5 x 4.75" wheel bolt pattern. The Buford has a 5 x 5" bolt pattern.

Ok thanks joe, no Hd breaks here.. I actually have 69 riviera rims on my car now with adaptors to fit the 5x5 bolt pattern so I could get rid of those on the rear anyways... I have a 455 I'm trying build up mildly over stock, not looking for crazy power, just would like more grunt then the 307 that's in there now and I don't think the 7.5 rear will do very good. This one should be able to handle that I would think? Guess once I get the motor built I'll also have to build up the trans "200R4" as well.
