Take this formula to a AkzoNobel/ Sikkens distributor. I custom matched it to a DuPont formula.

Project update!

A little update on my project. All that's left is new hydraulics for the top, a new top, carpet, radio and reinstall interior.

Idk the brand. I bought them used from a guy that took them off of a GMC Motorhome believe it or not. They fit with a little hammer persuasion. Lol

It's been a long time since my last post I'm still making progress on the Hurst. I'm up in the air deciding on the convertible top stripe. Just a few more checks and she is done!

I would say if you do a stripe on the top, make it the same as the hardtop cars.

I cannot believe that today was the first time I had read this thread... What a great looking car! You should be proud of the craftsmanship.. Also, although the LS platforms are great in many ways, I was relieved to read that you kept it Olds powered. This is a very tastefully executed tribute with a personal touch.

About a year ago I happened upon a guy building one of these in Red Oak TX. I have tried to find him here but lost his address and cruised the area where he said he lived but haven't found any trace of a shop or garage. At that time his was just a painted shell. His car was on a trailer at a local upholstery shop at that time and it's like it dissappeared.

That sure is gorgeous looking. I do have a quick question for ya thou! The sub enclosure that you made in the trunk...I sure would like to know how you went about making that with the convt top well there. I have a sub in my trunk but it does not look as nice as yours and mine takes up more space.

Thanks and have a great one!

It’s not as complicated as it seems. I used the wall where the sub is mounted as one of the walls from the box. And I roughly used the demensions that CT Autosound called for with the sub. After that I used cardboard templates for the sides and floors. It press fits together. I can pull the entire enclosure out in 5 minutes. When the top is down it sits on the enclosure without pressure on the box. If you lower the speaker off center it would clear.

Thanks for you comments!

Thank you for your kind words! And yeah, it’s running a 400G right now. I’ll get Mark Remmell to hook up my 455 hopefully next year. All Olds!

That car is awesome! I plan to do something similar for my subs. I have two twelves, they are free air speakers so they don't require a box. My plan was just a slam board and I was hoping I could modify the bottom to fit my full size SSIII spare.

Very very nice build. Great job. Still working on my 68 Cutlass Vert. Hopefully on the road by February next year. Frame about to go out for powder coating.

Wow, that's a stunning car. A ragtop '69 H/O is one of the most beautiful Oldsmobiles ever.
