Is that power steering bracket going to clear the steering box?

i never thought about that but the power steering pump takes up more room in that area, i dropped the engine in without any problem.

After seeing the time frame on the cl ad. I didn't bother contacting them.
I knew it was already accounted for, or at least put me too far back on the waiting list. LOL
Good for you!

The intake is taller than I expected, with a one inch spacer idk if I'll fit under the hood

hood clearance

Hey:
I can almost assure you the hood won't close, I found out the hard way in the 80's. I put a Torker Manifold on my Big Block when we did a major overhaul on my 66 Cutlass, we were headed to the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals in Illinois first of the week. The Cutlass had a brand new shiny paint and new engine rebuild as well, everything was fine till we installed and tried to close the hood. It was ALL BAD, wound up cutting a hole for clearance and putting a Butt Ugly small hood scoop on the car. Hope you have better results.
Thanks, Ron

I finished mounting the crossmember, drilling new holes to work with t56. All I need is a driveshaft to test drive it, hopefully I will this weekend. A lot more goes on then what I post and the updates will likely be even lesser. I had my first baby yesterday, brought her home today. Ora Lucia

got her all buttoned up and in a drivable condition, this will probably be one of my last updates for a while. i had a jacked up control arm in the back so i modded mine, i think it'll be stronger than a boxed arm and it was free to do.

Not sure why but this car sure looks good with the post. Some A-bodies don't.

I'm interested, but likely its beyond my meager budget now that you've gotten it running & driving.

I really needed to snag it like you did, as a non-running, engine-less project. If I'd only sold my 66 a day quicker, it'd be me posting up pics of getting it on the road

I've got my eye on a 64 cutlass hardtop thats been sitting for a year or so on a back road near me. I've already tracked down the property owners contact info, probably going to make some calls in another month or so and see if it can be had for a reasonable amount, and find out its condition up close.

been taking it slow but i am still working on the car when i have time. i put a new carpet in and got new, junkyard seats. first engine died so i replaced it with another 350 but got lucky and found one that had already been rebuilt with .030 over pistons and i mad sure this one had decent compression, feels way better than the old one. i took the short tires off and got a more appropriately sized tires, looks way better and now im considering lowering it. i also converted to h4 bulbs for headlights and i got lenses with halo rings. she needs a lot more work but she's shaping up.

i ordered them from octane lighting on amazon, the bulbs that came with them were cheapo no name so i put sylvania bulbs in, the little notches that locate the bulbs rotationally were wrong so the outer bulbs i had to file two of and the inner ones i had to file off one. when i ordered i did make sure i got some with glass lens, and i figured the halos would look cool.
