CAR:1974 Cutlass street car that weighs 3990-4100 w/ me.
BLOCK: 455 w/4.155 .40 overbore / mains non restricted no oil restrictors
CRANK: Nodular still stock never turned , held in place with ARP bolts. NO straps or girdles.
RODS: Stock 6.735 w/ARP bolts
PISTONS: TRW forged pistons
RINGS: SpeedPro moly plasma
BEARINGS: Federal Mogul rods and mains
CAMSHAFT: compcams Hydraulic 241/246 @ .050 Duration... .541/.546 Lift
LIFTERS: compcams Hydraulic
PUSHRODS: Compcams 3/8"
HEADS: C
SPRINGS: compcams springs
ROCKERS: compcams magnum roller rockers
OILING SYSTEM: mellings hv pump and pick up stock oil pan
INTAKE: Torker / gasket matched
HEADERS: headmen
EXHAUST: 2.5w/Flowmaster 40 series mufflers
TRANSMISSION: TH350 stock/soon to be built th400 with shift kit
CONVERTER: midwest 3200 stall
SHIFTER: hurst pro matic 2
DRIVESHAFT: stock soon to be custom once th400 is instaled
REAREND: gm 8.5 10 bolt with 4.10 eaton posi strange axles and c clips

I hope you had the machine shop give you .005 clearance piston to cyl wall.
For me I would not use the high voluume pump with a stock pan. My opinion is the gear ratio is to much for a street driven car. To much RPM's while on the freeway. A holley 800 would be a good choice for the carb. Other wise all sounds good. Should get up and go.

the stock oil pan wasnt by choice just kind of happened i would like to find a shop to deck the heads to get more compression and maybe a valve job but im really considering rocket racing heads.
