1953 Hardtop
The 67 Toro 425 (thanks, John) came out of the machine shop today , so thought I would try to post some pics of the 53 Olds as it has progressed. Body and frame were blasted. Have transplanted a 1974 Nova front end- new bushings and steering parts, with power steering. Added front disc brakes.Rear end is the Nova 8.5 with 3.42 posi set up from Monzaz. Plan for tomorrow is to mount the motor and Turbo 400 in the frame -hopeful we will not have to cut the X-frame to fit the driveshaft. Can then adjust and weld the rear axle mounts, and make brake and fuel lines (should I add a return line ?) and mount the body. Still need to build the mounts for the front clip and bumper (which weighs about 1000 pounds) . Thinking about colors - red with black top. My buddy (his shop in the picture )warned me about how much work (FUN ) this would be ! He was right . Thank you guys for your help.

Very nice love the fifties cars especially with modern front suspension and drivetrain. The first drive will make all the work worth it.
