1968 Olds 442 Restomod Buildup
Haven't been on here in a long time due to life's adventures but I have finally hit a point where I can start working on the car again. The 442 finally made it out of paint and body after over a year of work. The wife and I cannonball-runned it from DC to meet our buddy coming from Tucson in Dallas to swap the car and trailer and bring it back to the East coast. We are excited to start putting things back on the car and hopefully we can share that adventure with you guys. Here is the point the car is at now.
Current project: Get the engine running in the vehicle (already dyno'd)
-Install fuel tank/electric pump/regulator/carb
-Install Dash/Eng/Fwd electric harnesses
-Install MSD Ignition
-Install cooling system

Let me see here, its been a lil bit. Its got RPM Performer heads and intake, Edelbrock Carb, custom ground camshaft, Pontiac pistons (don't tell my Firebird-owning buddy), Hooker headers and is bored out to 460 inches. 10.25:1 compression. After a bunch of failed dynos we finally got 455 hp/540 tq out of it. Nothing crazy but plenty of fun
