No wipers either...

I am finally getting around to the car and I am stumped once again. The wipers do not work. I found the switch in the glove box and I found a missing 3 prong plug by the lights under the dash which I am assuming is where gone switch goes. I plug it in and turn it and I get the **** shocked out of me. I am not sure it the switch is bad or if there is a missing ground and its shorting out. Please help!

Try disconnecting the wiper motor before attempting to reconnect the switch. I suspect the wiper motor is shorted.

I can't see you getting the **** shocked out of you with 12v. Are the wire colors LT blue, Dk blue, and black at the switch? On the wiper motor they should be yellow and LT blue for the 2 prong plug and the yellow gets jumped to the 3 prong plug with a black and DK blue?

Note the switch needs to be bolted or grounded to the dash for the wipers to work.
