I want 3 point belts in my 71 convertible and some more modern seats I won't slide around in and with heat. I don't want anything to modern like seats that look like racing buckets tho.

I had thought of going with seats with integrated belts and reinforcing the mounting points. But, I have this set of really nice E46 vinyl heated seats that I picked up for ultra cheap and I'd be tempted to use them. I want the added safety factor of 3pt belts. I'd also like to put speakers in the head rests, but that's another topic.

Two questions.

Can I get a three point belt repro for the convertible? Do the seats that had them have any type of belt guide to hold them up by your shoulder or did you just strap in and sling it up there?

Second how viable/durable would it be to dye these tan vinyl seats to white? I can get white leather covers, but that's expensive and a bunch of work.
