I have a 1970 Cutlass F-85 that I'm restoring and I bought a 1972 Cutlass (4 door) to take the motor and transmission out of but I'm wondering if I'm able to use the rear seat out of the 4 door in my 1970 or will it not work? They're kind of buried in the garage for winter so I really can't take it out right now. Thanks

I don't think so. The 2 door rear seats should been narrower than a 4 door. Mind you, that's just a guess on my part.

It may fit width-wise for an F85 (they didn't have the big armrests) but the contour at the front will be different. 2-doors had squared-off front corners and 4-doors had rounded ones.

Is your 1970 a Cutlass or an F85? My 1970 F85 measures 58 1/2" between the rear panels (no armrests). The cushion itself is about 58" across. Hopefully someone with a Cutlass can chime in with their measurements. I hope this helps.

UPDATE: I did get the chance to take the car out since it's been nice lately, and it does fit, but barely! I got very lucky.
