Seatbelts

I dug my seatbelts out of a box to begin their cleanup and I don''t seem to have a set for the front middle. My car is a 71 442 bench seat car. Can someone confirm if the bench seats came with three sets. Thanks. Has anybody bought the replacement covers for the deluxe seat belts (brushed metal look)? Ames, the Pontiac people offer them.Thanks.

Automakers were required by federal law to install seat belts for every advertised seating position, so yes, there were middle belts from the factory with a bench seat.

Brian, my 72 has the same A52 seat yours does. It does have all 3 front lap belts. Only the 'outside' set of belts can use that ridiculous shoulder harness that's tucked up to the headliners. Yup, Ames has those belt latch covers.

Yes, I thought as much it should have three sets. A digging I'll have to do. I must have removed them, and hopefully they're hiding in all the parts I have tucked away.
