Hey Guys,

So i am in the process of putting some final things back together on this Cutlass from the previous owner and I am running into a block with the console. The area is where the shifter and shift plate go. I have attached some pictures, but it appears that there might be a plate or something missing that everything attaches too, but i am just not sure what is actually missing. If anyone has any ideas that would be great!

I think you are missing the bezel. it should look like the one at opgi.

And if memory serves that the wood grain is additional cost, burled walnut for 1970.

Yes- that's what he's missing. The "P R N D 2 1" plate attachs in a slot/opening in the bezel (as you can see from the OPG pic/link previously posted).

You'll also need to get the woodgrain insert....all console cars used the woodgrain inserts with the "chrome" plastic piece.

Other folks also sell that chrome insert and the woodgrain...Fusick, H&H Classic Restorations, etc.

I happen to have a 1970 Cutlass Supreme with that console if you need a picture.

(gives me a reason to get her out of the garage and for a cruise before summer is gone)

I did replace that piece myself and just repaired the other pieces myself.
