61-67 Cutlass "paddle style" interior door handles

Were these handles originally all chrome or was there a brushed finish on the top part? I'm getting conflicting info online and all the repop handles are all chrome. Is that correct?

Hmm, interesting. I owned an almost new 66 442 back in 1968, and the handles were shiny chrome, not brushed.

Curious. The parts book shows the number on the box as applying to all 60-67 Oldsmobiles with paddle-type handles except Toros. I just checked both my 64 VC and 64 J88 and both have the all-chrome paddles. Could this be a Toro paddle in the wrong box?

Some of the upscale GM cars had the brushed accents as I recall.
