Back seat removal
Guys I'm apparently old and weak. How in the flying *%#+##!! Do I get the back seat "back" section out of my 69 442? The bottom edge has tabs and I got those off but when I try to lift up to get the back portion out I get no movement? Help!!!

If you have disengaged the lower front portion on both sides from the clips then all you need to do is lift and pull it forward. The upper part of the seat has two screws on the lower part that need to be removed then lift it to clear the tabs on top.

To clarify, this is how you get the seat back out. As oldcutlass says above, getting the seat bottom out requires simply pushing back on it until the clips disengage and the pulling up and out. There are no screws to remove in getting the seat bottom out.

Those can be a bear sometimes...I've actually had to remove the front seats and sit on the floor with my back against the seat bottom and push backwards to get the bottom to move enough to where it would lift up and out of the tracks! But I"m also old and weak!

The seat back "hangs" on 2 tabs at the top behind the seat back, so you lift up to lift it off those 2 tabs. Mine is a bitch to get off. I'm not sure if the tabs are slightly bent, but I have to lift and kind of wiggle the top to get it to lift off the tabs.
