Not too hard.
Remove the 2 phillips screws that hold the bezel in place. (Don't lose them) Next, wiggle the cable and bezel and pull it into the car a few inches. On the back side is a retaining "C" clip that holds the cable to the bezel. Remove it and the bezel will slide off the cable. If you're taking the whole mirror off, it depends on what remote mirror you've got on the car. If it's the 'bullet" shaped sports mirrors, there are 2 kinds. One has the outside screw you can use to detach the mirror from the door mounting bracket. Others have screws that bolt into the bottom of the mirror from the inside of the door. Also, there's a mounting plate that reinforces the door on the inside of the door skin. Don't lose that piece, it's used to stiffen the metal where the mirror mounts. Anyway, you're going to have to take the door panel off so you can help thread the cable up and out of the door. If you've got the big chrome remote mirror, I'm pretty sure it bolts up from inside the door.
