What in the world is that thing actually called? the vacuum actuated flapper in the passenger cowl that selects fresh or recirc to feed the blower fan.

My real question is I need the gasket that goes around the flange behind the kick panel. Searched all the normal vendors - including under Chevelle - to no avail.

Fresh air valve i think it is called. I have not seen those gaskets reproduced.
Best bet would be to get a good used one. When installing, use a thin bead of 3M strip calk on both sides for a nice seal.
