Contemplating switching from the dark side
I have a 69 442 Tahitian Turquoise that I'm contemplating switching the interior from black to white. Before I make any purchases toward that I would like to know what color the dash/headliner/package tray and console would be on a white interior. Is it possible they had white consoles and if so can a black console be sprayed white (practical?). Any pics would be appreciate as well.
Lots of questions for one thread.
Thanks,
Randy

I'm not your father Luke! (Star Wars/Oldsmobile reference)
Dave:
Just in the contemplation stage, I'm considering purchasing a black console which means buckets seats which means a whole bunch more money so before I do or don't I want to explore my options.
P.S. - I pulled the trigger on a 3:42 Posi w/Monzaz last week. Kitchen is at 95%. 442 is calling....

I switched from pearl white to a black interior. The black is much easier to maintain and does not stain or discolor easily. To answer your question, the headliner, pkg tray, and upper door panels would be white. The dash, lower door panels, carpet and console would be black.

It sounds like you've made your decision, but just to add some details. I've got a 1969 project car that came with a black exterior and parchment interior. The seats, console, top 2/3's of door panels, headliner and package tray were parchment. The dash pad and metal underneath it were black, as were the kick panels, carpet, lower 1/3 door panels and seat belts.
