98 interior

I have a 84 olds 98 in need of a headliner board. Anyone have an idea where I can lay my hands on one of these.

Thanks.

Rick, is your original headliner board still in good condition? The headliners in the 80s and 90s are notorious for falling down because the glue used deteriorates with time. I don't see why you couldn't just clean your old headliner board using a mild detergent like Simple Green and water. Let it dry for a few days and then install your new headliner.

There is'nt a Board

The board is completely gone. So a clean and recover won't work. The yard search hasn't gone well.
I'm located in eastern Pa. I am will to pay shipping, at least within reason.

Ah man that sucks. Best bet is a parts car but remember the Buick Electra uses the same board. They're very big so finding one in a yard is your best bet. It comes out through the passenger's front door, and you have to fold it some to get it out. It'll seem like it's going to crack but with some luck it won't. The corners by the sunvisors will likely snap off, I just reglued them with Elmer's, that's all it took to get them back on.

I was going to also say Electras.

I am wondering too, will something like the Caddy DeVille and/or Chevy Caprice work too? I know it's a different line, but a lot of the parts are shared.... Just a thought.

I redid mine and when I pulled the board down, it was in sad shape. I fixed mine with foil tape.

Pretty sure the Deville will work but definitely not the Caprice.
