64 Cutlass help

Can someone tell me what these are for? They were in the trunk when I bought the car.

They're kind of hard to see as the photo is not that large. But they look to me like trim to put around the door to your house or something like that. Are you sure they're actually automotive parts?

X2 maybe some one thought they could make the belt line trim with them 😱

They look like the brackets that go on the rockers to hold the rocker moldings on.

Look at the detail on the top one, looks like rope top and bottom. almost Like pic frames or some sort of boarder part a few of the others looks like what the previous owner of my house used to seperate tile from the carpet

It's not rope,it's a lip .I have 2 sets of these.They are mounted about 1 inch from the top of the rocker and the top of the moldings slips over the lip and the bottom of the moldings are held on to the bottom of the rockers with screws.

Thanks for the help. Rocker molding sounds right. 4 pieces. Two long and two short. Metal and kind of dirty. They were screwed on to something at some point. Molding would make sense as long as the molding ran along above the sill and was broken by the door jambs.

My car didn't have door panes so I'm flying blind. Didn't know if the things went behind the door panels or what.
