70-72 Cutlass/442 Dash Pad

I needed a dash and I have tried the used dash route - I am just not happy with the some of the slight waves on the topside. Has anyone used the cover that goes over the dash - is the grain correct and can you tell it is just a cover once installed? Has anyone sent their dash to Just Dashes , if so are the results as good as advertised? Thanks, just trying to make a decision on which way to go.

The plastic dash covers look like a toupee - well, they look like a hard plastic dash cover. Just like a toupee, everyone can tell.

Thanks guys, the used dash pads run $100 - $275 and up - I have bought 2 on-line and I am using the nicest one. I have been restoring this vehicle for about 2 years - the biggest lesson I have learned on the used parts during this restore - and I have bought a lot of parts - is generally people keep the real nice stuff and sell the rest. Also people's definition of really nice or perfect seems to vary greatly from yours. It's gold - no problem - I have and can spray it the correct OE color. I may never get there but I am just trying for perfection or pretty close which does not come easy or cheap. We are dealing with 40 year old plastic parts that the sun has been beating down on - so a perfect or really nice used dash may be out there, but I want to look at it and touch it before I buy another one. With the price of the just dash I am going to use the heat gun on mine this weekend and try to get it from driver to pretty close, if I can't then I going to drive a short distance to Tampa to see what Anderson has, if he has a nice one I will have to factor in the aggravation of removing it versus the $$ for the perfect one and make that business decision - hopefully the heat gun trick will work.
