seatbelt replacement

who sells or rehabs seatbelts. I have a 69 cutlass convert and the belt webbing is getting a little rough. I know lap belts offer little protection but after 40yrs they could use replacement or repair. They are the retractable type and about all i can find are generic non-retractable lap belts

I just got mine back from a person I found on ebay, they look great, the ones missing tags he put new tags on and swapped the bolts out with ones that were re-plated. I strongly advise going this route, I tried dyeing some of mine and that worked ok - also tried misting with fabric paint which made them stiff the new webbing is a bit thinner than the old stuff put looks great and works great, he even replaced the guts of the buckles, PM me for his info if you are interested.

Kanter also sells aftermarket seat belts. Whatever you do, don't buy from Auto Loc. I purchased a set of retractable seat belts from them and I got scammed. Avoid them like the plague!

Cool Don't be put off by the name...

Though I have not personally dealt with them myself, I believe they have been supplying restored/reproduction seatbelts longer than anyone. At www.ssnake-oyl.com ; good luck.
