Legendary

on door panels it says you have to use your decorative trim. What does that mean? Anyone use them ( legendary) and are the interiors drop in with no mods?

They are simply the best there is available. I am very pleased with them. They did screw up a couple things on both my orders but they made it right with no hesitation.

You have to use your trim on all reproduction door panels. The trim will be the emblem and the stainless strip between the vinyl and carpet.

Thanks. I've heard they are the best but did not want to have to do too much assembly.

Do we know if they plan on having anything for the 73-77 cars?

I would bet if you ship the trim to them they will install it at little or no charge.

They used to only sell unassembled rear convertible inside panels for 68-69 because there was no source for the steel inserts. If you sent them your old inserts they would charge you an assembled price and send you the completed panel. I live 20 minutes from them so I just dropped it off

Any other quality suppliers?

I just called Legendary to order a complete new interior for my 66 442 Project. The sales person said that they are currently 10 weeks out on orders. I know I don't want PUI, is there any other supplier of interiors you might recommend that has a shorter lead time?

I got my door panels and quarter panels last week, from Legendary, I ordered them at their July 4 sale. On the 67's you have to remove the top metal from the old door panels and rivet them to the new panels, kind of a pain in the a$$, but they will be nice. My back seat and one front bucket are done, they look great. Waiting on a new set of springs for the drivers seat, they were very rusted and had 2 broken springs. They should be here today. The quality seems excellent.
I used PUI on 2 different cars long ago, I was not disappointed with the quality of those, I thought they were very nice. That was seat covers only, no door panels.

I hear ya, my problem is that a friend that owns a resto shop was supposed to order my stuff at the end of June and I would have had it by now...... turns out he didn't order it (long story, don't ask, I got Fuc$*& at the drivethru). So I am looking for a source that can deliver more quickly and still have the quality.

Nothing out there with the same quality that I am aware of. I always order at their Christmas sale if I can.

It depends on how fussy you are.

PUI stuff is pretty good, but Legendary is the best.

For a show car, Legendary.

For a weekend cruiser, PUI.

Wait or wish you did from what I've read. The chrome strips and wood grain on PUI are less than desirable. It's up to you. Good luck.

As mentioned... PUI is "OK" but Legendary is hands down better.

10 weeks is long, but they are trying to better manage expectations.
Telling you 10 weeks and taking 8-9 is much better than telling you 4 and taking 8-9.

The PUI door panels are also missing the same emblems and chrome strips- you have to buy separate and install them yourself.
The only ones they come with (and legendary comes with) are the plastic chrome mylar strips (if your panel design has them)- and on PUI's those have a bad habit of falling off before you ever install them!
