SEM paint for '70 green dash pad?

I need to paint the rubberized surround for an 8 Track player green to match the rest of the dash, anyone know if SEM has a color I can buy off the shelf?

Figure I'd bump this. Has anyone painted any green interior parts for a '70?

Most automotive paint suppliers that sell SEM products have the ability to custom mix SEM paint that can be sprayed from a spray gun.I even had some custom matched for leather seats for a Lexus (water base by SEM) that worked well on the leather.I would look for a well known Automotive Paint Supplier that sells SEM products, and they should be able to help you. And yes ,I think the one who mixed mine, said they could mix it and put in in some sort of aerosol spray bottle! Good luck, Larry

I built a 71 Monte Carlo some years ago, green with green interior. I bought some green spray for vinyl and it was a great match. Now, lol, i have no idea where i bought it. Maybe Year One? Maybe some other repo company for Chevys. Sorry im not alot of help but i thinjk the greens are the same. Check out vendors for other makes, call SEM surely they have a phone. The paint store here where i bought my PPG for my car sells SEM. Maybe and auto paint store in your area would have a chart of SEM colors.

I have a dark green interior on my 70 Cutlass and I searched into SEM and I cant find any so I bought my interior paint from "The Parts Place" made by PUI.

Great suggestion! I checked it out and they have a tone of colors plus @ $12 a can, can't go wrong! I just have to figure out which shade of green is correct!

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Look at your "cowl tag" on the line of "TR". It should tell you the color code. Mine is 48.

Do the numbers for the PUI cans match the olds trim numbers? I don't see a green colour on the parts place website with the number 48

A while back, I emailed The Parts Place and they told me 48 is Dark Green.

Just went through this with the 70 i'm restoring. Bought every single advertised can of supposed "1970 Green" NONE of it is even close. What i ended up doing, and i should have done this from the get go, was have my local paint supplier custom mix some from a good sample of the original interior piece i have. DEAD ON!! This is done with base coat a a little of hardener specifically for base coat. This all hinges on the paint guy having the talent to do custom work. Not all are capable. And the paint i use is Glasurit/R-M (BASF)
