T handle on '71 automatic console shifter?
Maybe a stupid question but can I replace my ball-type shift **** for a T handle on my 1971 auto console shifter. I think it would not be able to move up and down any more with a T handle...

I've seen people replace the round **** with a pistol grip "T" handle. But they kept the small T that fits under the round **** and threaded the pistol grip on where the ball had been.
