1966 Tripower Oil Fill Tube
My 1966 Tripower is an original car. Problem is the original "longer" oil fill tube is dented and candidly looks lousy in an other wise pristene engine compartment. It was damaged when some engine work was performed.. Does anyone sell replacements for the Tripower oil fill tube of the appropriate length?
It is longer than the standard to accomodate the glass bowl fuel filter that clamps on to the side of it. I know that the later model tube is available but it has the oil cap that locks on, not the push on type of the 1966 etc.
I am hoping that someone can lead to me one. Thank you..

I've got a couple somewhere in my garage, but at the moment I'm not sure I can lay my hands on one. A few months ago there was a parts for sale ad, I believe it was 64rocket in Union City California that had posted a photograph of oil fill tubes for sale including one or two of the tall ones. They used the same tube for the California Emissions motors in 1967, so those of us on the West Coast probably run across them more often than others. If you strike out, create a parts wanted thread and I'm sure someone will step forward with one. John

By the way, were is it dented? If it's in the large diameter straight section, you can probably get a tailpipe expander tool down inside and pop it back out. A little filler before paint and good as new.

Thanks for the welcome and advice
I will post a part needed request. Joe if you do find one in the garage I am definitely interested in acquiring one. I already tried the tailpipe expansion tool and tried rolling it out but it really didn't help it. And for Jamesbo's comment on how to pronounce my town, yes it is A-rab! Obviously he doesn't live too far away! Just briefly about me and my Oldsmobiles I have owned over the years several 442's. 66, 67, 69, 72. Also had a Starfire and do own the 83 H/O purchased new.. Was one of the first members of OCA joining in like 1974 by answering an ad in the Fairfield Connecticut newspaper about a new Olds car club when I was in college. Had a family, job transfers etc and dropped out of the hobby. Back in it over the last few years. Still own the 1983 and now have the 1966 Tripower. I have been a die hard Oldsmobile fan since grade school when I saw my first 442 while waiting for the school bus. Still remember the car, a gold 67 442. Yea I know sounds corny but that started it. Have carted Olds performance parts all over the US with each job transfer much to my wife's annoyance. Now have a nice big garage for the cars, the parts and am enjoying the hobby once again. I appreciate this forum and am impressed with the volume of information as well as the courtesy extended. I appreciate all of the help! I will post multiple pics for folks to see in the next couple of days.
