First of all, "powerglide" is a Chevy term that makes Olds people feel like they have spiders crawling up their back when they hear someone say their Olds has one. You should wash your mouth out with soap!

All kidding aside, I do believe that you will need to find another '64-'66 Olds JETAWAY two-speed transmission. Others will certainly know for sure, but I don't think the Chevy transmission is interchangeable.

If you have an inline 6 cylinder in your car, than its a Chevy engine and you may in fact need a powerglide. You will need the later model aluminum case powerglide for 60's and early 70's Chevrolet 6 cylinder and V8 engines. By the way the 3 speed Chevy or unicase th350 transmission will bolt right in place of this. If you had an Olds engine in the car it would have the 2 speed jetaway(super turbine 300) transmission which (although it has a similar front pump and gear ratios) is unrelated to the powerglide and comes with a BOP bellhousing to fit the BOP engines.The Chevy only cases will have a point at the top (like a roof). The BOP cases will have a valley at the top. The unicases have both patterns in them, and are only on some later model st300s(as well as th350s and 2004rs). Some 300 transmissions were mounted behind Chevy 6 cylinders in some BOP intermediates. The only way to tell for sure which transmission you have is to look to see if you have an electric downshift solenoid. If you do than you have a 300. If you dont and have a detent rod, than you have a powerglide.Hope this helps.
