1979 Camel Tan interior paint?

I have a 1979 Cutlass Calais with a Camel Tan Lochland Velour Trim #28 and also 62E listed

I am trying to find vinyl paint for the door panels.

I have not found someone who can match the correct color correctly, seems most are too brown, not "orangey" enough..

I found a SEM Color swatch and I think SEM 1654 Saddle tan is closer match, then the Camel Tan swatch 15173??? Not sure?

What are my options on vinyl or flexible paint?? Looking for most durable if possible...

BUT color match is the FIRST consideration.

Any help appreciated.

Would like in a quart can if possible..

SEM will custom match any vinyl color, but it is expensive, and it takes a few weeks before it will arrive at your local SEM dealer. Not sure of the exact process that they use now to do the custom colors, since I haven't had it done in quite a few years. Back then, I would give them a sample of the color that I wanted, if it wasn't already in their color library, and they would match it. I always had to purchase at least a quart of "paint", and it was expensive, but the match was always exact to the sample.

I have had plastic/vinyl paint color matched for several cars exactly to sample pieces that I've provided. I just go to the local automotive paint vendor IE: PPG or Dupont , tell them how much I want with a sample of the color I want, and they mix it for me. I'll generally use a plastic prep to clean and prep the surface before application. You can shoot it through a paint gun, but I've generally used a self contained inexpensive Preval unit to apply with very good results. Prevals are available at Home Depot as well as many other vendors. Vinyl die is very easy to shoot, very forgiving and generally the end product is like new. Cleanup is also easy. If properly prepped on a solid foundation, it has been very durable as well. Good Luck
