Anyone ever try the Anco washer rebuild kit?
This kit for my 70S. Mine just clunks when I press the button.

I used to sell those when I worked at auto parts stores in my high school days and installed one or two in my car. It's basically check valves for the washer pump. If your pump piston won't push water you will need to address that as well.

By "clunks," I ASSume you mean, "clunks about half a dozen times, once every 0.75 of a second or so, then stops."
If so, then your basic mechanism and electrics are working fine and the problem is some combination of inlet valve, outlet valve, and piston seal, all of which are in this kit, so this should take care of it.
You can also get these kits at your local auto parts store, from several different manufacturers, such as Dorman / HELP.

Yes, I can hear it clicking when I push the switch. I am hoping this will fix it. I do have a spare wiper motor that didn't work when I got the car, so I may have spare parts. I will spend the $7.

Worse comes to worst, you could also buy the whole unit for something like $20 or $25, but the vast majority of the time there's no need to.

ps: the stock washers suck even when they work perfectly, but that's a discussion for another thread.
