All call for a 455 Engine

As many of you know I just bought a 1948 Olds that I am going to finish with a 455 engine. I will be picking up the car next week in Bartlesville, OK. I will have a Large van for misc. items and a car trailer to haul this home to Bothell, WA. I will leave Bartlesville on Thursday November 13th.
I am going to stop and See Dan of the way so we can take pictures of the 46 and the 48 together (Dan I will call you with advance notice). I want a good 455. I would like a early toro engine with good heads block etc. This will be my everyday driver when I am done so keep your eyes open so I can buy one and throw it on the truck on my way through. I plan on leaving Dan's and heading straight for sunshine. New Mexico, Nevada. Arizona, california, Oregon. and home to Washington. Let me know what you all find out. The search is on. The winner gets his best choice of Scotch, Beer, or other favorite beverage. Remember a good price helps(Cheap).

Thanks

Engine

If you decide to take Interstate 5 through Oregon I have several for you to consider. Some of the best include a 1967 Toro 425 and a 1970 Toro 455. Or you can pick heads, block, etc and build your own. Contact me through email if you'd like to see photos and details. Depending on your budget, I also have trannies, rear ends, wheels, etc. John

I was looking through Arizona craigslist and I found this http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/pts/896193271.html. Also this site might help you. http://www.craigshelper.com/ you can look at the listing in every state your driving trough to see if someone might have one.
