Probably a '76-78 Omega, and tag on the back is the dealership that sold the car., the norm back then.

Looking at two different sources and triple checking, it appears that is a 1975 Omega sedan. 74 no park/turn incorporated in the grills, 76 had straight up and down grills with park/turn.

Actually, the grilles and header panel are 1975 model year.

The 1973/74 cars were a completely different body (the 68-74 X-car platform). Only the 1975 cars had the small sloped portion at the top of the grilles. The 1976-79 cars had flat grilles with chrome surrounds.

Today, too? I've got one on the back end of each of my cars, one a 2013 and the other a 2014.

Yeah, the difference is that today they are stickers or stick-on chrome-plated plastic. In the 60s and 70s they were pot metal and pop-riveted onto the trunk like, which usually resulted in rust a couple of years later.

Actually, here in the DC area, the dealers all use licence plate frames with their names instead of separate emblems. Much easier to remove.

We don't get decals here. We get actual pieces of plastic, in this case in the shape of key to match the dealer's name.

Actually, the OP isn't quite clear as to whether he's asking about the model and year of the car or the model and year of the woman NEXT to the car.

It is not my mother, it is a student friend back in the early 80's, at St. Cloud University in Minnesota. She is still good looking!

My assumption was based on the fact that you didn't know the year of the car, which would have been more likely had you been a child then.

+1 to the others: She's quite pretty (I can be more forward since she's not your mom).

I always have the dealer remove their markings. All of the daily drivers and even the Oldsmobiles have no markings.

I leave mine on and simply have the purchase contract state that I get a percentage of the dealer's profit since I'm providing free advertising.

I have tried that tactic. It usually results in stupid look and laugh! I am on my eighteenth new car/truck, so I don't even try anymore.
