What is the best way for me to remove the chrome trim from around my windshield? It's on a 1966 old 88 holiday hardtop

The only way to remove the trim without destroying it is to use the proper tool, available a pretty much any auto parts store:



You lay the tool flat on the glass, push it up under the trim, slide it sideways until you hit one of the trim clips, then rotate the tool to release the trim from the clip:
