1955 Olds Radiator Alternative

Is there another GM radiator that will fit a 1955 Olds? I am trying to avoid the cost of a parts cross-reference book.

I don't know the answer to your question. But wanted to ask if you have a radiator that you could have recored or is it missing?

Unfortunitily it was removed and misplaced. Hope that there is interchangeability between Buick, Pontiac, or Cadillac that would work

This may be low on your priority list, but here's pictures of the radiator that came with my 1954 project car. These numbers and measurements may help you key out other ones that may fit. Let me know if there's any other views you'd like to see. John

Whoops! Photobucket is freaking out on me. I've got a few more measurements but will have to add those at another time. John

Thanks 2blu442 for the information, the numbers alone will help my search.

The one I removed from our '54 Super 88 was Harrison #3131179. It was too far gone to save; tanks were cracked and perforated, so we bought a new one. The radiator shop didn't have one for '54 in their catalog, so I sent measurements and pictures and they determined it was the same as the '55-'56 radiator, so at least you can look at those three years of Olds.

Thanks Rocket331, all you guys are great with the information. May I ask about what you paid for a new one?

If memory serves, it was just shy of $350 from US Radiator.

Just went on the US Radiator website and they don't seem to show anything before 1960 for Oldsmobile. Wonder what parts they put together for you.

It's best to call them. They have more applications than what they show online.

Called US Radiator the other day and they said they could only rebuild one, not set up to build from scratch.

They made ours to order. I wonder what's going on there. I saw a decent 55 S88 yesterday that looked like it had a pretty nice radiator in it. I can check on it if you'd like. It had lots of nice body & trim parts, too.

I think I did you a great injustice, Scott. I found the invoice for our radiator. It came from Cool Craft. Tel. 323-826-0965. Part #999201 SND. Alex is the guy we dealt with.
