Looking for answers to trim and paint color.

Trim = 987

Body color = S-6

If anyone knows or can give direction will appreciate the help.

987 = White themed interior with bench seat (Cutlass Supreme)
S = Jade Gold
6 = Parchment Vinyl Top

Then, I guess a car with these codes shouldn't be Red with a white vinyl top and white interior?

No problem I guess it is what it is, and probably painted "re-sale" red when it was time to sell

No doubt about the "resale Red". I knew it had a re-paint because the silver paint below the chrome trim wasn't there. But, I didn't know what the original color should have been.

This helped a lot.

Anytime my friend If you post the rest of the cowl tag I can decode that too. I like Jade Gold personally. Here is what it looks like... I believe it was Terry's (vette442) old car.

That's about all that I could figure out. Was stumped by the trim and color. Still can't figure out why the paint color was changed so extremely. Oh, well. To each their own. Regards.
