Opening trunk (74 Omega) lock inop

Have key but it doesn't want to open. Lubed the heck out of the tumblers. Any sane ideas before I pop the lock cyl. ?

And I can't train my housecat to climb in the back to work the latch.

I have pulled the back seat and used about 4 feet of extensions plus a 7/16" socket to reach the bolts holding the latch on. If you hold your tounge juuuuuuust right you can undo the bolts and release the trunk lid John

Hmmmm, I'll measure all my extensions and then go to HF(anyway) and buy a couple more and give that a try. Thanks!

On cars past I have had another key made (or 2 or 3..), then filed it down til it worked. It takes a lil patience, but it works

Open!

Turns out I had one extension too many.
2blu442 your plan worked like a charm. Thanks!
Has a real nice original(?)spare, couple of crappy snow tires and bags of cloths. Now to fix (probably replace) the lock cylinder.

Too bad, bags of money would be nice. But on the good side at least no bodies.
