Carpet : Cloth or Rubber?
Taking a serious poll..Just replaced the floorpans, carpet..Paint...Now trying to decide which way to go..I like the look and feel of carpet floor mats...Even though rubber is the original.. Rubber or Carpet? And why.....Going to decide this week....Thanks!....

Rubber for me too, i have a new set from Legendary, says 442 on them. I think they also have some that say Cutlass, or they can make them.
Is your car the original Saffron? Or another shade of yellow? Looks great, thats one of my favorite colors, on numerous cars.

Rubber was the material of choice 50 years ago, but even my 2013 work truck has carpet floormats. Unless your '67 has been restored to be a daily driver/work car, I would go with carpet. I doubt you will be tromping mud through it and letting it stay for weeks so live a little and pimp it out a bit with carpet floormats.

High pitched sounds through the floorboards of a convertible probably aren't much of a concern. At least they never have been for me. If it is somebody's horn that close, you have bigger problems than floormat choice. Carpet might help soften some road noise too but not gonna make a difference with the top down.

Rubber mats for me. It's all about the cleaning.
I have a huge cypress tree in my yard, and in the fall when those needle like leaves start to fall, they get into everything. I'll spend an hour trying to vacuum them out of my other 2 cars. But with the Olds, just shake out the mat.
That's also why I just ordered some weathertech mats for the other 2 cars.

I have the rubber that look more original, easy to clean . I keep a set of carpet ones in the trunk to switch at shows.
Railguy
I paid $10 for the rubber ones at Carlisle set of 4. Guy had 100 of them all colors.
