I have a 1971 Cutlass, and I am having a problem when I hit my brakes. This only occurs when I am going faster than say 40mph and I hit the brakes hard. I feel a knocking that vibrates up through the shifter and I hear the knocking noise like somoeone is knocking on your door really fast and the tempo slows as the car slows. I almost feel like it would be my emergency brake pulling tight for what ever reason, but I dont know... Anyone else ever have this problem?

I have a delta 88 royal convertible, front disc brakes, rear drum brakes

I developed a big leak in my brake line going to the rear. I got the proportioning valve off, and the line that goes through the rear frame to the rubber line that goes to the top of the differential and then to the wheels, how could I get that off? I am having a hard time. I am replacing the line from the front block to the rear, the lines above the differential were replaced it seems, they look new anyways, i will be doing the front lines and that too, but i need to get it driveable to storage for the winter. any ideas?

I am going to invest in a disc conversion kit for my '68 Cutlass Supreme. I do not want to spend the extra money on new spindles as I believe there is only a minor difference between the two. Anyone know the difference between the two? I believe its just a simple drilling and taping one bolt hole bigger. Anyone out there know for sure. Luckily I am the manager of a machine shop so I have all the right tools to do the job as long as I know what to modify. Please help!
