I'm tyring to find rubber floor mats -- similar to the ones that were available in the 50s and 60s -- for my 1960 Olds. Rubbermaid produced them at one time. I find ads on ebay for Rubbermain Kar Rugs. But so far I'm coming up empty on finding any.

I seem to recall my father's car had single pieces on each side of the transmission hump that were contoured to fit the car (and may have even had the Oldsmobile logo on it). And in the back were square pieces in the same color.

Has anyone come across a supplier or a someone who's got a stash of these sitting in a warehouse?

Thanks,
Mark

Hi there,
on my 69 Cutlass conv. drivers side was a non original seat belt retractor installed. Since it was not original the retractor cap was missing, and this caused the belt to get all mixed up. Now I got myself a used retractor, but with the wrong belt color. The retractor has a plastic cap on one side, where it says "do not remove". My plan is to open the retractor to get a new belt inside. Would anyone know how to proceed or what hapens when I take the plastic cap off?

Does anyone have suggestions for a source for interior paint? We are look to paint the steering wheel we just bought, the column and some of the interior metal panels. Our 64 Cutlass trim code is 945--Holiday Red according to the chips on this site:

http://www.greatoldcars.com/images/T...64-65_trim.JPG

But is this the color of the metal on the doors and dash, or for the upholstered parts? Has anyone had any luck with DupliColor? We did have a local paint shop take a sample, and it's going to be $55.00 per pint to mix up, plus reducer, plus clear coat.

Has anyone ever cobbled up a tool to remove the tilt pins? or is there a better way to get at these buggers? BTW this is on an 89 GMC truck. The NAPA is closed and the local advance auto does not have the tilt pin removal tool. Any help is apreciated.:o:confused:
