Yea I could have bought him a late model rice grinder or a pick-up truck, but what would he have learned from that! We currently run some of the local car shows with my 1963 Plymouth Fury and I hope we can hook up with other Oldsmobile owners with his car.

I just wanted to say Hello to you all. I'm from SoCal and I'am currently working on a 1965 Oldsmobile F85 Wagon my wife and I picked up on a roadtrip to Modesto Cali a few years back.
I had a 1967 Oldsmobile F85 Cutlass Wagon about 10 yrs ago but I had to sell it. I'm at the point now that I am going to swap out the 330 and put in a 455, I just need to get the interchangebility of some engine components before I go forward. Hopefully I will find what I seek on here.

We took a long ride Sunday, with the 71 cutty, on PA route 309, doing the legal limit 55, we hit an expansion bump while doing a slight turn to the right, I felt that the car may have left the ground for a second, (rear?). I was passenger at the time. My son is not as experienced in driving elderly cars as I am.

I owned an 87 Cutlass Supreme Brougham from 1996-2006. Grandma car. She had hand knitted seat covers that were installed since the factory. I had to trade her (the car not Grandma) in :( on a Honda Civic when gas went to 4 bucks. (I drive 44 mi round trip to work daily).

Anyway, when I first bought the 87, she handled poorly (33k miles, 307 V8), and had severe under steer especially turning on wet roads. I had my tech install Monroe gas shocks, and it sure fixed one problem, and caused another minor one, a stiffer ride. I'd rather have control.

Back to the 1971, we are deciding how to approach this control issue. The car seems to hand-test bounce one and a half times on all four corners. Do these old girls ride this way from the factory? Not sure where to go from here, I don't mind throwing money at something that will fix the issue, except I don't know where to throw it.

Regards, Bob

Hi, I'm Bradley from Huntsville, AL. I'm not new to cars, as I've been a Chevy guy my whole life, but I'm still trying to learn more about these Olds. I just got into them recently when I bought my 1st Oldsmobile last year... my '64 F-85 Cutlass. I found it behind a barn. It didn't take too much work to get it on the road, but now the engine is out for some freshening (350 Rocket BTW). Here she is, let me know what you think.
