I just inherited a 1972 Olds 98 Tiffany Limited Edition less than 2700 made.

This Olds is in very good condition with very very low miles as the car was my fathers “Sunday Nice Weather Driver” and has been in storage for approximately the last 10 years.

This Tiffany Model has the black vinyl roof / black interior color combination. The back seat may have been sat in a couple of times; it’s a non-smoker vehicle so the “three cigar lighter/ashtray consoles” options have never been used. The trunk has also never been used and the carpets have been covered with a blanket. Has all the original Dealer Window sticker and purchase info.

The only reason we are looking for a new home for this beauty is we are out of room and have no place to store this ... otherwise it would be my “Sunday Nice Weather Driver”. She's currently located in Portland, Oregon Thanks for looking

Do they make replacement tanks for these cars or should I just take it off and try to have it repaired?

Looking for a LH tail lens for my '66 Olds 98 Convert. that I am in the middle of restoring.

Also, if anyone knows how to clean up the grill- best products as it is in good shape just needs to be cleaned up and I don't want to use something wrong and ruin it.

Can anyone direct me to the correct paint for the front headlight pieces (grey and black) as I am re-chroming due to pitting the pieces and want to paint the black back to original and the grey also.

This is an all original garaged car with 32K original mile convertible with factory air (California car).

Thanks much!

So I finally installed a coolant temp guage because I didn't trust the factory idiot lights.

How hot does your big block run on warm days?? Its been between 86-95F here the last few weeks and when I drive my car it sits around the 200-210F mark.

Its got a new T-stat (190F) I think which is prob not helping. I have checked my entire cooling system with an infrared thermometer and the rad is cooling. I have been considering installing an electric fan just for piece of mind.

Is that a normal temp? Whats normal for those outside temps?

Wondering if anyone has had much to do with the suspension on a 1959 Ninety Eight coupe which I have. In particular the shocks (front and rear). Rear leaf spring shackle bushings, stabalizer end kits also. I have been looking at USApartsupply, Fusick and Kanter. I just want to make the car safer for the family outings as its not a race car set-up. I see Kanter have the super heavy duty rear shocks as well as coil -overs and air-adjustables. I am quite happy with the stance of the vehicle as she rides fairly level (and rides a little sloppy) but with a few bodies in the back seat she boggs down a bit in the rear and rides high at the front. Can anyone please give me your ideas/experiences with the different companies' shocks? Good/Bad/Indifferent would help. I just love the old tank ride and do not want to get too far away from that by getting stiff suspension. I've already got that on a 1976 Holden Panelvan. Thanks. Dawso.

Hi All,
I've been an OLDS FAN for a lifetime; especially the Big, Time-Honored FlagShips; the Ninety-Eights! I also have like the early 70s versions more and more lately; one thing I did NOT know until this year was the fact that in order to mark Oldsmobiles 75th Anniversary in 1972; they apparently made approximately 2,650 Tiffany & Co. Sponsored Ninety-Eight REGENCYS (This was the 1st time the Regency name was used!) It was a "Tiffany Gold" Metallic Paint color only and you could chose between 3 different colored Vinyl tops; Black, Covert Beige or White and only 2 color choices were available on the interior; Black or Covert Beighe.

Does anyone know where or how to find out more about these rare cars?? (How to VERIFY how many were really made in 1972?? etc.) I'd like to almost start a Database for these; I've been in the OCA for YEARS but never saw one before, heard of one, nor met anyone who had one...Are there any out here now?? I discovered a Gentleman in Illinois out there who has one for sale -- it has the Beige Vinyl Roof and I think the black interior... finding others is really difficult; but I seriously want to start tracking the VINs of these for prosperity and to help owners track/evaluate what they're worth, how are left, etc. etc.

I know I should check w/ some of OCA's "Model Year Advisors" too; see what they may know...

Thanks, ANY info. you have or pictures would be greatly APPRECIATED! :D

So I was looking through Fusick to find a replacement trunk mat set because mine is... disgusting. I see that they don't have a set for the '64 98. Does anybody know where to get a new one? I have the original rubber mat that sits in the bottom and the original cardboard cutouts, but I need the fabric area around the trunk replaced. Will the kit from the '64 Starfire fit? They look roughly the same. Thanks.
