111 degrees fahrenheit (44 deg celcius) here on Friday and again today. Happy to report that my freshly gassed air is working like a charm. Way too hot to put the top down...and it's not summer yet . Anyone up in the other hemisphere want to swap places for a while?
The car is on eBay down here, and on Carsales.com.au. Just seeing if I get any bites. I've decided to get another one. A fully restored, show ready car this time. It'll be my last. I'm over working on them...just want to drive 'em, enjoy 'em then put 'em away til next time. If I can't get a real nice '67 then I'll look for a '69-'70 442 convertible or tricked up clone. There have been a couple of nice ones advertised over there lately. Gotta sell this one first though and Olds isn't a big deal over here. Fingers crossed.Cold beer time !!!:p

Hi,

Newbie here. Spent the past few days taking my car completely apart to have the body shop do a frame-off resto-mod.

While apart, I'm having my stock 1970 Olds Cutlass Supreme 350 Rocket 2 barrel with A/C rebuilt. Machine shop is boring .30 over, rebuilding heads, upgrading cam, etc., etc.

Can you recommend the following that won't require any mods?
-Intake manifold
-4BBL carb w/electric choke
-HEI (want to eliminate coil and points, etc.)
-Headers that will last and not need tightening

Thanks so much.
Jim

Well, we've all been experiencing the same frustration and withdrawal when the site went down. It was so exhilarating when it came back.

Where are the email subscriptions to the threads we talk back and forth on? They were so handy to share updates on.

Any of you mods know what's going on? Omicron? Dan? Rob, Jamesbo, cittcap? Anyone??

I miss getting the emails. I've mentioned it in one of my thread replies, but maybe we need a thread to draw this feature back into the limelight. Does anyone have email coming to them? On another note, some of the PMs don't seem to be getting through either. Anyone one else notice this?

I'm getting ready to pull this 350 out of my 72 Supreme. The block casting # is 395558 and it has 7A heads with casting # 409 147. It has the stock intake, casting # 410446 and a Q-jet carb. Comes with an HEI distributor installed as well as the original points distributor as an extra. The A/C parts, alternator and brackets are not incuded.
I bought this car w/engine 5 years ago and was told it was running. By the time I went to pick up the car, the seller had stripped the battery, starter and fuel pump so I was not able to verify that it ran. Unknown if any work was ever done on this motor and the mileage is also unknown. Pick up only unless you arrange your own crating & shipping.
I also have a Chevy TH350 that was bolted to this motor if anyone is interested in that.
$350 for the motor, can be picked up in the Detroit area (48073 zip). $75 for the tranny. I will post more pics when the motor is removed.
Thanks for looking! :)
