72 Cutlass pwr window/lock question

Hi,

I am adding power windows and locks to my 72 Cutlass and I am wondering about the external 40A fuse that was used on 70-71 versions. Since the junction block is mounted on the firewall and not the fender well are they the same and may not required in 72. I was at Quads States show this weekend and noticed a 72 Convertible that had both but couldn't locate the fuse anywhere.

The 72 vert has the 40A breaker in the upper left of the fuse block. It powers the top hydraulics as well as the locks and windows.
