Horn switch question 98 1951

Hi Olds-men,

I am restoring an Olds '51 ground up and it took 14 years
It is not easy since I am in The Netherlands, where Olds in general in rare.

My problem is that since I completely restored the steering column I seem to miss a part but am not sure. In the wheel is a springed contact rod going isolated through the wheels hub. The front side connects to the horn switch but the rear side ... goes nowhere. Could it be that there should be somekind of washershaped contact pad with a mounted wire that will run through the colomn to the horn relay switch? Probably I will have to make this piece so any idea would be great help and a photo would be a wonderfull thing. And no, it is not pictured in the shopmanual or any book ;(

Many thanks for reading / help,

Regards,
Marcel Wierda

thanks!

Apart from the fact that in a '51 there is hardly any plastic,
the basic mechanism seems to be hardly changed! Thanks very much for the pictures ... pretty soon I must decide to remake the part ... a tough job but at least I am pretty sure of the general plan.

Again thanks
Marcel
