CUTLASS SUPREME harrnes problem

i got a problem with my cutlass engane and light harrnes my car is a 1987 i have got one from a 1984 cutlass supreme it did not fit my car has a v8 350 chevy motor can i use one off a monte carlo ss will it fit i cant find one off a 1987 cutlass

Hi. Any G-body harness will work, as long as it also had a Chev V8 Motor. If you pull one yourself, label every plug when you remove it. It will save more time than it takes. Best of luck.

If you're only changing out the under-hood harness, I'll caution that the wire assignments in the firewall connector may not be the same between years. While I don't have firsthand knowledge of the G-body harnesses, I DO know that the 69 and 70 Cutlass engine and light harnesses under the hood are different. I used a 70 harness on one of my 69s and the specific wire locations in the connector are different. You need a good wiring diagram, or at least a thorough side-by-side comparison of the two harnesses at the firewall connector.

Of course, the "right" answer is to stick with an Olds motor...
