Unhappy 67 cutlass blower motor

Hey guys, purchased a heater blower motor and fan 2 years ago from OPGI and just got around in my rebuild process to start hooking it up. (Long time I know) but yes it has issues. There is a rubber hose that goes between the heater shroud and the motor casing (for motor cooling) that is 7/8" wide. The new fan motor has an opening of 11/16". Not a match/ I could not get it to work a lick. Called them and they said had a few complaints but, they would accept a return on my dime (current cost 110$, I paid 85$), my loss again. Brothers had a motor for sale for 39.00/ issue was 17$ S&H fee. Still tracking down a squirrel cage fan. Just disappointed, exact replacement, nope. Just throwing that out to you, be-ware measure or install early
